In a world without activists like Tacing, HIV+ people in the Philippines wouldn’t get the medicine they need.

Tacing is a longtime activist working with LGBTQ+ group TLF Share. He has dedicated his life to helping people living with HIV, who face incredible stigma in their homes, the workplace, and even doctors’ offices. For those who are also LGBTQ+, the discrimination is multiplied.

A 400 percent rise in the number of new HIV infections since 2010, mostly among gay and transgender Filipinos, makes Tacing’s and TLF Share’s work even more urgent.

The Fund for Global Human Rights supports and protects the world’s activists.

Each year, we give grassroots activists in more than 60 countries the funds, training, and tools they need. With our support, activists take on human rights violations in their local community, change laws, and win landmark cases.

We support groups that others can’t reach. And we work to keep them safe. Because we believe that the world needs activists more than ever.
