Women’s Rights

When women succeed, we all win.

But across the globe, women and girls continue to face barriers, persecution, and violence—inside and outside their homes.

The Fund supports bold feminist activists who demand equality and opportunity. These intersectional leaders are fighting for a better, fairer future for women and girls everywhere.

Our approach to SUPPORTing gender equality

Icon of a fist being crossed out. Preventing violence against women is a pillar of our women's rights work.

Preventing violence against women

Sexual, physical, and intimate partner violence is a critical issue across the globe. We support activists developing innovative ways to prevent violence and support women in need.

Enabling economic well-being

Women and girls in the workforce are paid less, treated worse, and afforded fewer opportunities for growth. We help activists fight for gender-equal labor rights to achieve economic independence.

Enshrining women’s rights in law

Regressive, patriarchal societies still refuse to recognize gender equality under the law. We give activists the tools they need to fight for women’s rights through legal action and legislation.

Providing access to healthcare

Women’s sexual and reproductive decisions shouldn’t be made for them. We help activists share vital information, deliver life-saving aid, and empower women to take control over their own bodies.
