Navigating the Access to Information Challenge in Health Rights Litigation in Uganda

An article written by Namusobya Salima Executive Director of Fund Grantee Initiative for Social and Economic Rights (ISER) in Uganda has been published in the Health and Human Rights Journal. Salima discusses how organizations and patients challenging health rights violations in Uganda face great difficulty when litigating cases because of lack of access to medical information, often because of corruption or problematic policies and practices. She discusses how civil society has managed to pursue cases and what steps might be taken to improve access to information moving forward.
